So it has been hot an dry for close to 2 months temps are cooling off a bit but acorn crop is spotty. With low water an not much acorns my plan is to spot check with stand on my back to find the bucks. Gonna key in on water an oak trees that are producing closet to bedding. Hunting mainly swamps an hills. Any other thoughts or tactics for this area an can use? Or things to look for I maybe over looking?

Stand on back, scouting fresh sign, hang and hunt sounds like a solid idea to me

Well if you were in Florida you will not have to worry about acorns. This hurricane is going to blow them all out of the trees.

We will be scouting and hunting fresh sign the rest of the season.
