Kamikaze Cicada

We were out fishing today and kept getting strafed by these loud big bugs.
David was the only Faber Bobber brave enough to pick up this live Cicada. I took a couple photos and the Kamikaze Bug took off and let off a loud buzzing sound as it left.

I've been finding them all over lately while working. They seem really sluggish. I found a bunch in the Milwaukee area last week when the weather was getting nice and cool at night. I wonder if the dropping temps affected them?
