Re: Bucks timing after setup
Yep. Also after taking down in the morning getting my stand packed I got it on my back and stood up only to have a nice 8pt staring at me from 30 yards or so.
It only takes 15 seconds for the hunt of a lifetime.

Re: Bucks timing after setup
I can’t remember having one come in that quick. I have had one sneak off as I was setting up and had bucks at my spot when I got there in the dark.
I had a buddy in Ohio had a buck come in while he was setting up. The bucks was bedded and heard the noise and came in to investigate. He missed the buck but I saw it the next day he was probably mid 160’s.

Some do. Some don't. I just might...

I have had this enough times, and to buddies that I think if your in close, a buck hears the stick setting and cam locking on the bark and thinks its another buck is rubbing and they come to investigate or confront. A few years ago I shot a buck at 3 in the afternoon on a 70 degree november day. I had cut a branch 2 minutes earlier. I hunted less than 5 minutes.
