Lightning strikes can get them up out of the cypress bottoms and running. Tho I don’t encourage anyone to sit thru lightning storms. I have sat thru a few tropical storms and outer bands of hurricanes. The deer will move once the weather breaks just a bit. For sure. Shot my biggest frame zone a buck after sitting thru tropical storm conditions in one of those storms of 2011.

I need to pay attention to the weather I guess, I was thinking of hunting this afternoon and had no idea there was a storm

Same thing here - I didn't know we had a system moving thru, just thought, finally getting some rain. LOL!

Sailfish - It is a hassle to do anything to try and change/fix any hunting regulation. Go in with a very thick skin if you do.

The storm put a damper on my day, but tomorrow will be good. Hopefully

Went in the afternoon once the worst of the rain had past. Had a doe and her fawn come in on me. Got as close as 10 yards away. Never saw me or smelled me. Always a good hunt when you see deer in the area I am hunting.

I’ve been hitting the non quota wma’s lately, pressured but nothing crazy. The rules are so different for each wma, gets confusing if hunting several hahahaha. Goodluck

I am going to try and hunt a non quota WMA starting tomorrow. Its one I have never hunted before. What I don't understand is why I cannot use archery gear during the pole stuffer season but I'm still gonna go. this will be fun and somewhere new for me.

I have not hunted there. all my Florida hunting has pretty much been in south and central Florida.
