To be sure, there are some of us who have certain propensities to perfectionism as evidenced by your DISC profile. As we always say, your profile isn't an excuse for not doing the right thing. Many a great philosopher has said this in many ways, but I like how the late, great Jim Rohn stated it-"perfection is the enemy of good."
This quote made me think about my oldest child. She was an amazing student-very bright, conscientious and quite the perfectionist. She recently informed me that after I would retire for the night, she would get up to work on her projects. She would be 85 - 90% done and find some flaw in it and scrap the whole thing to start all over again. She has since learned that perfection doesn't exist, so she is free to do a good job and get things done. I hope the same for those of you who have a perfectionist mentality. "Do the thing and you will have the power!"
The perfection issue is one that took me a while to get. Spent a lot of time too scared to attempt anything for fear of anything less than perfect. You have to be able to accept failure. Most of the time, good enough is good enough and the best that you will ever do. Thanks Dan.
