NH Lidar Images

Unread postby Go Rusty » Tue Mar 06, 2018 1:39 am

Thought I would share a great Lidar viewing tool for all my fellow NH beasts. Lidar shows elevation changes much smaller than typical topos. Go to GraniteView, link here: https://granitview.unh.edu/html5viewer/ ... ranit_view Click the View Layers button, Turn on Elevation, Regional Elevation, Regional Lidar, then either Hillshade or Shaded Relief.Hope the sample image shows!

Thanks Rusty!!!

I just found a swamp island yesterday that is a goldmine and I couldn’t see it with a topo, I just happened upon it while bushwhacking.

I’ll check to see if it appears with this website.

I use Lidar images when cyber-scouting hill country. Really gives you a better feel for the lay of the land and how it relates to topo maps.
