I've been asking Wicked to put a pruner on a saw for three years... Just don't understand why anyone would carry a saw into the woods for lane clearing without a pruner?

I tried it today and it worked perfectly. I cleared a pine to about 18ft. I never left the ground. Watch out Mr buck that likes to rub everything in your staging area.

Yea sounds like a good reason to tack on another $50 to a wicked saw setup. Blows my mind how much money gets carried into the woods now-a-days. Lots of handy things, very few necessary things.

you can but the handle will get sticky. You might be able to use hose clamps on your saw handle as well. I'm always trying to find a way of limiting weight and making life easier.

I always carry a small rope that I can throw over limbs and bend them down so I can trim them. This works pretty good most of the time.

When I was a kid I carried around a broken chain saw chain with a wooden handle wired to each end, string tied to each handle if the branch was out of reach. I just tossed it up and around. That worked slick for bigger, sturdy branches I could pull against.

A 15" strip of bicycle inner tube works great to attach a saw handle to a stick. You just stretch the tube tight as you are wrapping and tuck the end between the stick and saw. The stretched rubber grips super tight so the saw does not move at all while cutting

I usually have a small saw in my pack for hunts and if need be, I carry an extendable pole saw scouting if I know I'll be prepping a tree. Other than that, I don't carry one as it just slows me down and gets in the way
