Bucks with a bow for me. I don't fall turkey hunt and don't care anything about it. The only time I hunt turkeys is if they are gobbling. They don't require much scouting, I know where to locate them every spring, which points they roost on and where they will go to strut midday so the scouting part isn't much thrill on turkeys for me. I love to hunt them in the spring when they are gobbling, but aside from that I'm out. I have turkey hunted for 16 years, 2 years I didn't fill at least one tag....Wish I could say that about big bucks. Deer all the way, although I do enjoy taking other people and kids. This year will be my sons first year and I'm also going to drag BH4Life out in the woods to kill a tom and do a little scouting for the fall!

Thumping a gobbler is a great way to celebrate the spring but deer are my main interest.

I see my interest weighing towards deer the older I get. I did get my but absolutely kicked last spring turkey season, it was humbling.

All I know is I spent a lot of time getting whooped by gobblers last year and I should have been scouting for the deer.

10-10 Deer
2-10 Turkey
spring turkey is hot as heck in FL. of course bow season is hot as heck for bucks also, but that just tells you how much more I enjoy deer hunting.

10/10 deer
The snook and redfish bite is usually pretty good down here during turkey season. Plus most public is under the quota hunt system for turkeys.

Deer 10/10
Turkeys 1/10

I've purchased fall tags in case I wanted to shoot a bird while deer hunting, but never wanted to interrupt a deer hunt shooting one. I bought a spring tag once but didn't make it out due to other priorities. I may give spring turkey a try this year just to see what the fuss is about.

Bucks!!!

In MA turkey #s have skyrocketed. There are 4 dozen turkeys that roam through my yard almost daily. They have become more of a nuisance than anything. Dogs eat are non stop eating the poop. I enjoy hunting toms bUT in the last couple of years, the crazy amount of turkey annoyance wore off the novelty.
