What was I thinking ? I wasn't...
I went out today for a walk in the woods, basically just to see if there was any sign of deer. I came walking out to this point, and there was a tree top there. I started walking around it, and WHAM, a coyote came busting out from underneath, and just kind of leaped and bounded away, and then had the nerve to stop 100 yards out and turn broadside and look at me... Here I am with NO gun. It would have been a gravy shot. Do you guys think if I went back out there in a few days, he would still be there, and I might get a crack at him again ? Or do they just lay under the first treetop they come to and plop their but down ?

You won't know unless you try.

Cool story..
Good luck, if you go back to that spot.
