Please tell me I'm not nuts??

Unread postby PLB » Fri Nov 14, 2014 8:03 am

I drove 40 minutes to one of my hunting areas today because I didn't like my setup there and it's been eating away at me!! Yes I took the day off to regroup but I just couldn't get that stand out of my mind!! So I drove there with the intentions of just raising it up higher and cam locking it better. Well I found a much better tree 30 yards away right in an awesome funnel. Lots of tracks in the snow. Gonna be close tight shooting but I hung it high and I'm concealed so much better!! I feel good about the set! Then I walk out to the field and there stands 2 does lol. I'm sorry I am an addict but to kill good bucks these are the little things that make a difference imo. Oh well I'll maybe be able to sleep better tonight lol!! So I hope you all don't think I'm crazy! I just couldn't spend another hour in that other stand hating every second of it feeling like if I did see a shooter he would spot me sticking out like a sore thumb!

If it doesn't feel right I move and more often than not that gut feeling pays off.

I'm weird and superstitous and just feel when it comes to hunting the more you put in, the more you get out!! I'm really excited to get back in there loving where my stand is now.

I have hung at least 50 pre sets that I never sat... now I let the cameras tell me where to park my keister
