This wolf doesn't look out of place next to the deer.

There isn't a deer out there that stands a chance against a pack of those!

Actually Dewey that is just your average adult wolf, I think 80-90lbs. I heard a few few in the 120lbs range. I am sure there are bigger ones out there.

MN is up to 127 wolves so far.

I dug up this pic, this is a big azz wolf! Guy said 117lbs.

That wolf hanging sure looks pretty darn big. Must be a little forward in the the pic and makes it look huge compared to the deer.

One more pic I found, not sure on the back story yet. You gotta love those big black ones, I ran into one when I was 12 one time, I think I pooped my pants.

Growing up and hunting in wolf country all my life I really don't consider the wolves a huge threat to deer population. We as hunters and hard winters are far more of a threat and can do more damage than the wolves in a given year or over a period of time. The wolves certainly don't make life easy and they take their fair share of deer, and some nice bucks too but its really not as bad as people make it sound. Its is all part of hunting the bigwoods, you have to learn how the deer will react to wolves and the pressure. I am just starting to figure it all out. The other thing people don't realize is the huge home range these animals have. We hunt in the heart of wolf country, at times they are everywhere and blanket the woods, other times we can go a month and not find a single fresh track. You just have to learn to live and hunt with them.
