Cool... They are getting out of hand.
I think it might be pretty tough to trick them after last night for a while. But I am all for trying until they leave or die.

Dan, I dont know about your game laws there, but is baiting them in legal?

If so you may have some luck with this:

No seriously, if there is a slaughter house around, get you a couple buckets of blood, set the blood upwind on
where theyre coming from. Either later in the evening or early in the morning works best.

I lined up a guy thru Kodiakman that runs a coyote hunting group out here and that is what he does. He heads over to the slaughter house and gets some dead stinky pigs and blood. I have not been able to tie him down though as to when he can come.

I'm pretty sure the coyotes have moved over by James house, or even past and are now near the new subdivision (which is now 10 yrs old but we still call it new).

They could even be hanging around the camp ground. I just didn't hear them at all yesterday. So I'm sure they moved out for a few days. I bet they are back by Tuesday. That seems to be the pattern when they leave. Gone and back in 4.

That is about the pattern around here. It takes about a week to get them back here.
Once they get busted up by gunfire, they will be a little more cautious coming in, so hopefully
the stinky pigs and blood works for ya. Maybe have more than one or two people out over the bait, and let the lead yote bring in other before yall start shooting.

I like turkey guns, shooting 3.5 #4 or #5 shot. They usually dont move after a head shot from those!

Good Luck, cant wait to see some pics!

Your not getting how thick it is in there... By the time I saw the yotes they were within 15 yards and running right at me. Shots were point blank... There was no time to wait for anything.
And yes, I tried luring them out in the open. Didn't work.

Coyotes are a big problem around here also. I will ruin a good buck hunt to take one out.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
