Some of you might be surprised :o when I tell you I have shot only 1 bear in my life time and that bear I got in Minnesota DIY. I drew a tag for this year in Wisconsin but have transfered it to a youth hunter. Hopefully by the end of May I will have bear #2.

Good luck Mike! If anyone deserves a trophy bear it's you. You've helped a lot of people get their bears over the years and have been very generous along to way too. GOOD LUCK!

0 for me, NJ only allows gunning for bears during the 6 day firearms deer season. No Bow hunting for em yet or maybe ever... I've see some really big 400 - 500 pound bears from stand while deer hunting and want to stick one! May have to go back to my home state of NY, a friend has a lot on his property.

I have Bear hunted 3 times here in MN and I have shot 2. It is pretty exciting when you see them out a ways and watch them come in. I did not draw this year so I might have to get a over the counter tag.

I shot two bears, one in Canada and one Wisconsin. I have a Wisconsin tag for this year along with my oldest son who received his first tag. I wanted to donate my tag to my youngest son but he is still contemplating it, since I think he has a slight fear of the bruins. :)

2- Bears total, one cinnamon colored taken with bow in Canada and one with rifle from Wisconsin. Have a Wisconsin tag this year along with my oldest son who has a tag too. Concentrating on helping my son get his first bear.
