So I actually received this photo in my email about a month ago as it is a friend of my wife's uncle and I wasn't surprised to see the entry show up in the B&C trophy watch. Scroll down to Jan 10ths Iowa Party Hunt... http://www.boone-crockett.org/news/trop ... ?area=news
So apparently while completely legal and fair chase under Iowa law, B&C holds themselves at a higher standard and clearly is taking a stance that party hunting is gray area. For those unaware they will take entries of B&C animals killed in states that allow party hunting but they will leave the name next to the animal blank. Cannot blame the hunter in this case for not entering the animal. I would like to see the dilemma on their hands if it was a new world record in this same scenario.

I am assuming he tagged the buck with his own tag or we have an interesting debate to discuss. Either way they are being a little hypocritical in the matter. They praise and recognize the Hansen buck which was party hunted, however if it was shot by a member in that party whom had already filled his buck tag a nose would be turned up? Seems a little sketchy

They Have made some changes over the years. They now have a 160 inch entry for a temp listing in the book.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
