Some recent trail camera pictures from pressured public land in PA. The $45 WGI camera didn't do too bad. No monster bucks by any means, but nice to see deer.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

I found that the WGI cameras have reeeeeeeaaaallllyyyy slllllllooooooowwww trigger speed...well atleast mine does. If you don't have it on a salt lick, bait, or food plot its hard to get any decent pictures.

What are you using for batteries in the WGI? My would die after 3 days in the cold - I was using just regular batteries.

The trigger speed is slow but on food or minerals they work fine. Another trick I have learned is to place it looking down a trail instead of across it. Seems to help.

As far as battery life, it isn't bad. It was out for a week and it still showed all bars. Believe it or not, they were CVS akaline batteries. My father in law gave them to me so I gave them a shot. My buddy ran a set of Rayovac batteries in a WGI camera for 8 weeks this summer and it showed 2 out of 3 bars when he finally pulled it.

They are definitely not a high end camera but for my use their perfect. I'm just not gonna risk an expensive camera in an area that runs a high risk of being stolen.

I have seen independent tests on these cams and they scored decent on the trigger speed and battery life dept. I have 3 of them, they are all I will purchase because they are such a bargain and the pictures are really pretty decent, I have friends with upper end cams that don't always have better quality. Glad to see there are still some companies around that give you a good product at a great price that gets the job done. I have never needed to use their customer service on a camera, but I did on a used rangefinder I bought and there service was second to none.

I've got one of those Wildview 40 dollar cameras from Menards, it did good

I also got some Hunten cams last year for 30 bucks and they did good too

Not into spending a bunch of money on something I'm going to leave for someone to possibly steal
