Just got to the top of the bluff. Going to relax and wait for a gobble. Plenty early

I was crawling up to some turkeys today that were being stubborn and was so stealthy in my 200 yard crawl, that I actually unintentionally crawled up to 20 yards from a bedded lone deer. How cool is that? Even when he jumped up he did not see or smell me and just looked around then walked ten yards and started feeding.

Top of the ridge, waiting for a gobble. Awesome morning, clear skies light breeze. Should be a good time.

Some gobbling this morning, think they are with hens. Hoping one breaks loose soon. Perfect weather.

Had at least 5-6 gobblers going at it this morning but all in the neighbors property. Back at it again tomorrow morning. Absolutely beautiful morning though can’t wait to do it again tomorrow.

Just got set up. Gonna sit and blind call for a couple hours and see what happens. It’s really hard to hear with all this wind. Missed one at 50 yds yesterday, honestly don’t know what happened, but at least it’s early in the season so I got plenty of time.
Anybody else getting on birds today?

Good luck buddy. I missed one at 50 early in our season this year. It happens.

I got on a stubborn public bird this morning. Gobbled decent for a bird that had been hunted 40 some days now, but I couldn’t do anything with him. Was in his bubble enough to hear him drum for an hour though.

I am hearing good gobbling this morning. It rained last night but it hasn’t slowed them down at all.
I am looking forward to the season opener tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone hitting the woods and be safe.
