I'll guess bigger than that Dan...the belly hangs way low and the head looks like a pumpkin. 350-400 lbs. is my guess.

The odd thing about this bear is he was right next to the road and he didn't even seem to care that I was there. He just went about his business without a care in the world. He lives in Bayfield Co. if you want more info PM me. I'm not going to hunt him so I'll share his location.

That is one nice bear!!!!!! I have to go with the over 400 lbs. Well over 400, close to 450 in my opinion. Doesn't look like winter thinned him too much!!!!

I will up my vote too ;) Mike is an extremely good judge of bear... If he says 400, I go with that too... Staring at the pic's a bit more it sure does look big.
Todd, if he wanted to hang around and play, why didn't you get out of the truck and wrassle with him?

I would have stopped and scratched his belly but I was in a hurry to get fishing. 8-)

Anyone remember Jeremiah Johnson?

DAN
I dont want you to get to excited but that is one of the bears you will be hunting, that bait station I was telling you about is only 300 yards away. I think this is the same bear from last year.

Dan, I would suggest hiding in that culvert. He was checking it out when I saw him. Then poke him in the eye with a stick.
