That’s a beast. Over 5 years old in mn anywhere in the state is pushing 200+ lbs. That bear has a solid noggin. I believe they reach their adult frame at 6-8 years. That’s a beautiful specimen of the species. Anyone who says other hasn’t hunted bear.

Last year I shot a sow, maybe 150-175#, aged at 14yrs. She didn't look a whole lot bigger than the chocolate my wife shot that was aged at 3. I never would've guessed the age difference other than looking at the amount of scars mine had. Sounds like we hunt in the same general area. Congats on an awesome hunt for everyone.

It takes great genetics for a sow to become big, plus what I have experienced is the sows that are huge are the ones that are at the end or cannot have Cubs anymore.
