I started a 3rd site , it got hit in daylight but the bear knocked it off the tree and chewed on it. No good pics. 2 out of 3 cameras were chewed on. But not the one with cubs. But those 29$ tascos are still working so far

Here's a pic from this morning at my new site. Unfortunately the trail cam was too damaged and it would take pictures non stop
I also drug a hollow log out there. For now I think I'm done looking for spots.

Exciting to see what is lurking around your bait sites. Thanks for sharing.

Season starts tommorrow. Here is my target bear. I think its M&M. I have been getting pics of him 15-20 minutes after sunset every night recently(legal shooting time is 20 min after sunset). I would prefer a SW wind for this spot.

My 2nd site is only producing one small bear. And my 3rd site is only producing a sow with cubs.

Went on my first hunt tonite. Had the medium size bear right underneath my stand 20 min before sunset. It freaked out when it saw/smelled my bungee cords at the base of the tree. Didn't see the big one (M&M).

Why are you leaving items at the base of your tree? Don’t leave anything that they are not already used to on the ground including dangling tote rope to haul up your gear. Hunt hard for that bigger bear, good luck

Oops  it was cool seeing that bear 12 feet below my feet though.

Its kind of like being an undercover officer, gotta watch what ya say and what ya do cause before you know it, the gig is up and your cover is blown! ;) You have a bear come in your not going to shoot take your phone out and video it and post it on here or at least take a couple of pictures while your on stand. Good luck

Went to the same stand tonite. Nothing but a porcupine. Bait wasn't hit last nite anyways. I think the chances of me killing M&M are slim to none now

I hunted until 13 min after sunset. It's just too dark imo too hunt the full 20 min after sunset. The last thing I wanna do is track a wounded bear.

Bear hunting over bait has not been easy for me at All. I tried in 2014 and 2016,, only seen cubs with the bow in hand.

All I want now is a legal bear.

I'm starting to think even if my bungee cords were not there the bear still would have freaked out anyways cuz of my climbing sticks on the tree.
