Furthest south you saw a bear ( wisconsin)
I live in Washington co. WIs. and have always wondered why there are no bear around here. Never seen one or saw a track. I did one time see some droppings in my yard one time and swore it was a bear dropping pile. I hunt Theresa Marsh some and Kettle Moraine S.F. and as I scout this land I can't help but wonder why there are no bear. Has anyone ever seen one in S.E. Wis. just curious.

Saw a dead one on the road just S/W of Madison a couple years ago... The nearest live one I have personally seen has been in Black river falls.

There's a good population of bears in the black river falls area. Lots of wolves too

When I bow hunted over there in BR State Forest I saw deer, bear and wolf tracks all on the same trail. Never seen a bear there but plenty of sign.

Didn't see it personally. But a good friend showed me pics of a couple that were in the Dodgeville area.

We had pictures on one in the Seneca area in Crawford county. Just a little north of Prairie Du Chein. He ripped down a couple of our trail cameras. I've heard there are still some in the area.
