New Spot BIG BUCK Help

Unread postby VA5326 » Sun Nov 24, 2013 8:29 am

Gents,
Need a little help. I've got this new place I've been hunting. Found a cluster of HUGE rubs. I know must rubs are made at night. Spotted a giant for a split second in there once. I'm backing out this year because I'm not certain on where to set up on him. Blue circle indicates the cluster of rubs. Red Flag indicates my observing stand. Green arrow indicated prevalent wind directions. I'm not going to hunt this place again until next year. Any ideas on where to put a few stands and also would like some insight on his bedding possibilities? Where is he coming from? Thanks guys, I'm a little confused on this one.

If you want to kill a deer you have to be in the woods.

Dan and Friends,

This past March, I put a stand up relatively close to lowest blue dot in the pic. If the wind is right, I plan on doing an all day sit this upcoming weekend. Just an FYI, I haven't set foot in this area since the day i put the stand up. Due to work this is the first time I will have had time this year to give it a sit. I am pumped… Thanks again and I'll let ya'll know how it goes.
