Take A Kid Fishing!

Unread postby Singing Bridge » Tue Jun 23, 2015 1:31 am

Most of us have heard the call to "Take A Kid Fishing". I always pick at least a day or two to do just that, the payback of introducing a young angler to the sport is worth its weight in gold.

If you have some pics of kids you have taken fishing, whether they belong to you or someone else, put 'em up we'd like to see them!

I have caught many thousands of walleye over the years, none of them were any more memorable than the one caught by a young angler on my boat just the other day:

Very rewarding, no doubt. We all have busy schedules but this is something we need to write in.

My son loves to go fishing. I need to take him more often. It's easy to think we are too busy and have other stuff to do

Make the time man, it's a small window before they grow up. I'll be trying to take my own advice here in the coming years too!

My son is pretty young yet but he's starting to get into it. Caught his first real fish this spring. Now he tells everyone about his "headsheep" he caught.

My oldest is 3 and he caught his first few fish totally on his own this past weekend. Just dunk the worm over the boat and wait for the bluegills. He had a blast! Taking kids fishing, your own or not is a great idea.
