Looking over a few areas on Google Earth and was focusing on this point sticking out into the swamp. Do you guys think all these trails are deer trails? Thanks

Looks like a great spot. Based on that aerial you can hunt your way around that piece. Don't overlook some of the small trees out in the middle. That dark stripe is probly deeper water. Deer can walk it, but be careful.

Re: Deer Trails
Those are definitely deer trails. I was skeptical about the ones in the marsh by my spot at first, thinking that they may just be fingers and drainages for the river near me, but after putting boots on the ground and scouting, I can confirm that they are definitely trails. They end up having more water and acting like drainages because the deer beat them down so much. They also follow the river in some cases because the deer are walking along it, just like any other transition. Its pretty amazing that we can use maps like google earth to locate these areas, but I can attest that just finding these areas and narrowing them down are one thing, getting out there and scouting it in person is really the important part. I was out there yesterday and bumped some deer right out of their beds in an area very similar to your pictures. Have fun and good luck!

Re: Deer Trails
One of the better examples I've seen. Looks like a lot of traffic.

Re: Deer Trails
Curious about this marsh hunting, as ours are pretty few and far between, I did some cyber scouting of Central WI and noticed the same thing and assumed them to be deer trails. Not minimizing any accomplishments but holy crap I wish our cyber scouting were so easy. It would save me a heck of a lot of boot tread.

Re: Deer Trails
defineately trails...typical heavier x-ing between bends, water is probably a little shallower
