Cyber Scouting question

Unread postby G3s » Mon Feb 22, 2016 4:42 am

While using Google Earth I am trying to correlate deer movement and preferred travel corridors with the sun position in Hill Country type settings. G.E has the ability to show sunlight and light/shaded areas along with times of day. Has anyone of done this before and used that info successfully? I think I might try to make a journal of that this year and see if there is any correlation of daylight movement in certain areas due to the amount of or lack of sunlight. Deer being fairly nocturnal creatures, my thought is if I can get into well shaded areas it might show more movement during daylight hours. Anyone of you guys have any experience with this?

It has crossed my mind to guesstimate how thermals would act using it.
