Hill country traction

Unread postby sunset samurai » Sat Mar 14, 2015 12:07 pm

Just thought Id let yall in on a way to save energy when scouting extreme hill country. I was tired of all the slipping and mis steps while goin up steep grade or sidehilling steep grade, especially when wet. To solve the problem I picked up a pair of high top football cleats to try out, and today I mtn scouted in the rain. The cleats worked flawlessly I was able to make every step count, no restepping or slipping even on steep sidehills or goin straight up! After I got back to the truck I felt like I did my average 4+ mtn miles in half the number of steps!

Great idea for scouting. As long as you are not crossing creeks or swampy terrain to get shoes soaked.

Great idea.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
