Good Lawd, that's a biggen! Didn't think fish from ponds counted towards records. Reguardless 5 lbs is a monster of a crappie. Good for him! I liked how he said he caught one the same size last year but it got a grease bath :lol:

Walleyes are good, but I don’t know anybody who can turn down crappies. They are fantastic. Especially baking the bigger ones

Crappie vs Walleye is ALWAYS the debate here...

I go:

#1 Crappie ...by a significant margin
#2 Walleye ...everything else a very distant third

Give me either of these two options with hushpuppies, fries, pickled green tomatoes and my last meal is set!
