I'd actually like to know what they did with them, it looks like a pretty organized tournament and there must have been a plan.

Oh the smell of success. That would’ve been a blast.

Definitely a blast! With more coastline than any state in the continental US it has really caught on here in Michigan, especially bow fishing at night in the shallows with boat lights.

Not to sidetrack but kind of have a question.
In general what do guys do with the fish the shoot i.e. gar, buffalo, carp? Around my parts they just dump them on the bank at the ramp and leave them for the birds and critters too eat and stink up the place.
Ofcourse in Louisiana fashion there isn't any law about waisting fish or leaving fish too rot and stink up a area.
Just am wondering do most guys that bowfish do this are is it just the bowfishing guides in my area?

I've talked to a number of guys at the archery shop who are trying to peddle bowfishing guided trips. I'm interested in doing it, but so far I haven't had anyone answer with anything other than "toss them in the trash" when I ask what they do with the fish. That doesn't sit well with me so I haven't gone. I'm in Minnesota.
If you're interested in eating carp there are a number of catch and cook videos on youtube where guys are surprised to find out that they are actually pretty good tasting and not the rancid muddy trash fish they'd always been told they are. I'll link a couple below. I've actually been interested in the validity of what are commonly considered "trash fish" in the U.S. after cooking up some fresh water drum on a whim last year and finding out it was quite tasty. My results so far have been that most people don't know what the heck they're talking about and are only passing on what they've been told but have never tried.
