I was lucky enough to grow up in some of the best bowfishing areas in north Texas. 10 miles south of the red river. Downstream of a huge reservoir, so the water is super clear. There are always some HUGE fish pulled out each year. Hoping to get a slammer or two this year.

Go where none other dare to go, and there you'll find success.

The carp spawn on Saginaw bay is something out of a bow fishers dream. Thousands apon thousands of monster great lakes carp stacked up in the shallow flats. Ive hit it a few times where it was not uncommon to stack 2 or three with one shot. When you hear stories of fish so thick you can walk across there backs..this would be that place.

Might have to look into that someday, sounds like a lot of fun. The spawn can definitely be a great time to shoot lots of fish if you hit it right.

For the record- if anybody cant tell, I love this thread/ topic

I love it but since I sold my boat I've pretty much been a shore shooter or at the mercy of guys with boats. I also like using my recurve.
