Nice buck, but young as others have said. I dont know where you hunt, but I could tell thats not a Michigan buck. The way he looked at you several times as he walked by, even 1.5yr olds in Michigan will bolt if they looked at you like that. I would like to think I would pass him in KS, but he is bigger then anything I have shot.

Definitely a good deer to pass, young with a lot of potential, I passed on several that size the last season.

He would get a pass. He would be a really decent buck next year.

I am obviosly in a different "Deer killing caliber" and "Deer State".
I would have taken him unless it was the first day of a multi-day hunt or other trail cam pics revealed many larger deer around...

Pass, I don't set standards in inches but more what tickles my fancy. I like long brow tines and tall racks. Looks like he is very short on on brow tines and therefore gets a pass. He is also a young buck with lots of potential.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Hodag- That ain't no joke either. That buck may have won too. Bucks are hard to find up there period. Same as does too. Northern Wisconsin - Drop'm.
Southern Wi- probably would have let him go. I say probably because I may have been in a backstrap mood and awefully hungry. That's why they tell you to never go shopping at a grocery store hungry. You fill the cart, in turn I might fill my tag.

It's not a problem, it's a opportunity for a solution.
