Im sure this doesnt really apply to you cause im from michigan, but a few years ago a friend of mine and i planted some food plots on public land way back in the sticks.the local warden, While getting his vehicle serviced at my shop , asked me if i knew who planted some food plots down my dead end road. I told him that i did and he let me know that doing that is definetly a no no. He said that state of michigan didnt want any "invasive" plant species planted. Also thought it could cause conflict if someone else found them and decided to hunt on the plots. Kinda makes some sense i guess.

Thats kind of what I was thinking. I thought about planting a few random fruit trees here and there. In a few of my secret spots.

I thinks it is not legal... Its not here. But even if it was, the fruit trees would not grow unless they were fenced in till they were somewhat mature or the deer would kill them.

Highly doubt its legal most notably for the invasive reason. If you get to know the land manager well enough, they might have one of their workers plant something for you, then of course they'll know about it and you know how that works.

Its legal here, so it might be there....ask and see.

I'm going to try to plant a few persimmon trees this spring if I get the time.

I do not know of anywhere it is legal with out permission (which is darn near impossible to get in most cases I have come across). Also, on public land it's not only invasive species that have to be considered, but also protected species that may be killed in the process.
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.
