Community scrape vs white oak

Unread postby Buckslayer#13 » Mon Sep 27, 2021 8:24 am

Found a dropping white oak a few days ago and it appears that the deer have been coming to it regularly because they have left a lot of shells there is one small rub but not much buck sign at all yet. On the other hand I know of a place that there is always a car hood community scrape and it is opened up this year and has a lot of deer tracks all around it. I am just wondering what I should hunt during bow season of course wind and weather play a huge factor but I am just wondering what the best pic is to kill a 3 plus year old buck early season and how the two spots compare

How close is it to thick cover or something that you would expect to be a bedding area?
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

Yeah probably gonna hunt the scrape, have history with bucks there and watched a buck on trail camera in summer over there. Pulled a camera from the white oak and it was nothing but a doe and a fawn that would come to the tree everyday.
