No crops... No food plots... No problem!
No crops... No food plots... No problem!
Im going to be challenging myself to go to a new area this September 24th - 28th. All timber, some hills, some swamp, some river bottom. For now that area will be kept secret. I have never been there before. We are going to film the hunt and the break down of how we attack this property, and the challenges we face, and the dark timber beasts we take down... Im looking for a few people up to to adventure who feel they can tackle this type of adventure and want to be part of the hunt and show. You must currently film hunts, or have a camera person. If you would like to come along please respond with the answer to these questions: Why do you think you should be involved? and Why do you want to be involved?

I have no intrest in filming because I hate lugging a camera around, but I'm excited to watch the videos. It'll be interesting to see how you tackle terrain like that.

Sounds like a lot of fun, that hits opening weekend in WV and I have a 12 year old boy that has been shooting his bow every day waiting on opening day. I’d almost think about throwing my hat in the ring if it wasn’t for that. I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds on the YouTube channel.

What does this mystical place say for deer per square mile?

Man this sounds like an unbelievable opportunity for somebody. I’m super far and never filmed a day in my life so I’m out. I’m real interested in watching it come together though.

Sounds like an awesome time, would love to "try out" but I'm already booked a couple of those days and can't get out of it. Will be cheering from the sidelines and can't wait to watch the videos.

dang, too bad that is my 34th anniversary week or I would have volunteered to take a "camera-man" only part. I've got all my own pro video equipment (C100, C300, XC15) and pro lenses (Canon and Zeiss) from stock photography and film work that i have done outside of my regular full time job.... been at it for the last 11 years. Why would i do it ??? Not for self notoriety, if you see my youtube channel you'll see that i don't film myself, I've just got a music video that i filmed/edited and a couple of 6 year old clips of deer walking under my public land stand at Ft. de Chartres public land river bottoms, but that was with my cheap bow mounted Tactacam. Love filming, love deer hunting and i would surely learn something, i'm in great shape (for a 56 year old, lol) and I can go miles deep. We'll talk about this at Deerfest Saturday :)
I've changed my ways, I'm now looking for big bucks on public land.

That is just kind of area I hunt minus swamps. No fields nothing but timber, few hills and river bottoms. Sounds like fun. Wish I had time. Another strike I don't film other than tactacam.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

Sounds like a heck of a learning opportunity. Old school grind hunting. Will be cool to watch.
