Still got a few more days to chase them. Weather looks good for the weekend. Checked cameras yesterday and have a couple bucks showing up just before dark. Looks promising

I wouldn't say I am still grinding but went out this morning. Should have gotten out yesterday as we had a fresh snow to look for tracks. I was mostly scouting walking around. Would like to shoot another deer, but the tracks don't lie, there isn't much to set up on. Could sit out and get cold and hope. Might have to start the pike spearing and bobcat quest (that usually equals two desperate trips somewhere for a quickie and say I tried). I have until Jan 31 in SE Michigan for archery.

Headed out sat night for 5 days. Then the following weekend I got a quota hunt. That’s about the end of it.

Have until the 31st, but that’s only 4 possible hunt days for me. Been a struggle all season to find a buck to hunt, fingers crossed it will happen before the buzzer.

I tried a couple years ago in january. i actually laid eyes on a deer by you thats the last time i saw a whitetail during hunting season down here. I dont know how or why but i was running around in white army surplus bunny boots and i dont think my feet forgive me to this day. I found some nice tracks a week or 2 ago elsewhere but ofc it was part of a park that was not huntable. I also thought id be the only one out there the but 1 spot i cut in there was another guy... scared me really. Maybe ill make it out again but soon ill be after lake st clair gold!

Was tagged out on Dec 13th. Most productive season for me in 20 years or so. Probably scouted around 8 hors for every 2 in stand. Being laid off since early November, I spent 22 days scouting for next fall. Had work for 2 weeks and now am out of work again. Back to the woods! Haven't been able to spend this much time in the woods since before I got married and raised a family. ;) Good luck to all still out there!
