My daughter got her youth tag filled the other night. Now it’s back to trying to fill a moose tag. I’ve had three under 30 yards but never got a shot due to head on or cover in the way.

Finally setup on a big oxbow, could be a kill spot but more of an observation. Wind is all over the place so hopefully prime time my thermals pull right to the water 45 yards to my right. Jumped a doe on the way in, tonight feels good.

I love what I can get this beast stand into.

Good luck to all out!

Cut a decent track on the edge of the fresh cut corn field that they just combined last night and it was headed toward bedding. Deer track on top of a Deere track. Set up 50 yards from where I killed in 2019. If he’s home he’s under 100 yards away.

I started heading to my other piece of public then turned around because of that track. I just had to see what happens.

Got home at 5:20 after being out of town since Wednesday. I was grumpy so my wife kicked me out to go glassing.

Next thing I knew, I was 15’ up in tennis shoes and jeans on the edge of a marsh I’ve never been to.

Just sent an arrow through a doe at 25!

Hunted this afternoon had 2 big 140 inch 8s they were 4 year old plus and both near identical. come out of bedding i judged him for 30 and shot over his back. He was 21 yards.

About 10 minutes later a 3 year old 8 walked under my tree my shot was near straight down broadside.

Their was no blood on the arrow just a bunch of hair.
Should I search in the morning?
It was a really steep shot about 22 feet straight down about 5 yards.

Anyone had a buck die with just white hair all over the arrow no blood?

I'm not sure what I should do the arrow sounded like it him him.

Their was a small 4 point behind him.

They came out of bedding biggest to smallest.

Just when I thought I was going to be skunked I had a coyote come in and pick up my ground scent with 15 minutes left and then with three minutes left I had a doe and a fawn sneak in behind me and within range, but I’m still just not at the point where I’m needing to shoot doe. Unfortunately I lost a quiver on my way out and those ironwill broadheads will not be easy on the wallet if I can’t find them in the morning.

Opening day in WV. I saw thre does and a four point this evening. Lots of acorns falling right now, which is going to mke things pretty tough for the next few weeks. I ran to Pennzylvannia to check a fe cameras this mroning before it opens next week, I think I've got a few bucks pinned down finally based on pictures and sightings in the past few weeks.

Took the kids out “turkey hunting and squirrel hunting” ended up deer scouting. Found 2 points that jut out into a marsh. They are both loaded with acorns, and I found a massive scrap just into the marsh, and a torn up bush that had multiple branches broken right off, has to be something with some leverage. Can’t wait to hunt this spot, zero bow hunter sign. Ideal wind is a north east, but I think this deer beds just off the point in a small pile of dog wood in the marsh. Man this place has me excited.
