If I hunt 65 days around 50 will be on public. It’s like that every year. And if I’m being honest 70% of my better bucks have come from private even though I hunt it a fraction of the time.

But I do fish 100% public :D

I prefer private - more peaceful. Do hunt public when I draw a permit.

Normally every year the last weekend of the season in January I hunt some private with buddies for our flintlock season. But other than that it’s 100% public for me.

It's all I hunt unless a friend invites me to hunt with them on their property. That is usually only a time or two a season.

For turkeys I solely hunt public, but I have a few parcels of private I mix in during bow season. Oddly enough, I pretty much only hunt public during gun seasons, as all of the private I have access to gets absolutely hammered.

In WI 70/30 public to private, in IL 90/10 private to public.

Use public a lot to break up pressure on private parcels but also enjoy the challenge and seeing new territory.

100% public, but do have access to a small chunk of private if I feel like hunting there.

Currently hunting almost exclusively private but the private I'm on is getting a little crowded so I'm looking to change that. I'll probably hunt this year like I normally do, but scout the public land nearby to expand my options next year.

Probably high 90 percent for me. I've hunted private once this year.

I have a back yard stand I hunt for does and with the kids but the real buck hunting happens only on public.
