Western SC, foothills of blue ridge mountains. I own 48 acres and plant food plots of chicory and clover. We have very low deer numbers in the area.

Buck in the truck was shot November 22 while chasing a doe.

Buck on ground was shot October 14.

Both killed from the same treestand.

Me and my brother opening day of WI. Me in back with buck I took that afternoon. He came out of his bedding right on cue, love it when it happens like it’s supposed to. I wish it was with bow, as he was 20 yards perfectly broadside, but oh well, gun is fun too.

The memories made with our WI deer camp with my brothers and friends is reason I think it’s the best time of the year.

Southern Illinois, Nov. 22nd, 8:30 AM

Had some crazy rains this weekend. Had to take 3 different routes to the property due to flooded roads. Then had a 700 yd walk through mucky harvested fields. This guy was pushing around some does and specifically looked like he was bumping a fawn around.

WV public land 11/23 opening day rifle. Cruising through above a bedding point at 930 stopped to make a scrape and gave me a long 100+yd shot through the timber.

2 for 2 on bucks this year using beast tactics and a saddle.

West central IL, free permission private/first year hunting this farm.

I was able to locate two doe bedding areas. I set up down wind of a parallel trail between the two. I had been seeing some random chasing so I figured I'd give the spot a go. I was blessed with this guy at 30 yds. Unfortunately his left main beam is busted but he will eat just fine!!

Wisconsin gun opener, Trempealeau County. I set up this licking branch in April on an old logging trail--thanks Jeff Sturgis. Due to work and distance this was the first day I was able to hunt it. After helping a buddy with his buck shot after first light, I didn't get situated until 9:30 and up til 11:00 it was just me and some very healthy squirrels. Buck came walking up, mouth open, only one thing on his mind. On the ground from five yards with a crossbow. For many reasons, this one will be remembered for a long time.
