Scent with snow

Hi, and good morning! With the gun opener set to start Friday here in Michigan and snow on the ground I had a question. How does our scent trail work with the snow on the ground ? Is is the same with no snow? Is that ground scent still stuck there like normal ? What about after the snow melts ? Does the ground scent dissipate with the snow ?

Yeah my lion hunting buddies always wanted snow. The dogs could smell the track better on snow than dry ground!! But they hated the melt!
Happiness is a large gutpile!!!!!!!
