The greatest people on earth...

Unread postby dan » Tue Nov 12, 2019 11:05 pm

Some bow hunters are real quiet about hunting and dont talk much with others about it. It's all about killing big bucks and competing against others... the older I get, the more I find it's not about the kill, it's the path we take to get there, and the great people we meet along that path. There are a lot of great people out there if you take the time to get to know them. Every person needs an outlet, whether it's the warrior coming back to civilian life, or the factory man needing a break. For some its sitting in a bar escaping the wife, some are into golf. Bowhunters choose to go back to there roots and choose alone time in nature with god and his creatures... the greatest people in the world.

So when I first saw the title, I thought No way.... Then I thought well sometimes the fumble bounces your way when you least expect it, life sure is like that pointy ball and kinda has a mind of it own. Then I clicked it and was kinda like when I check for my Michigan elk tag every year, trying not to get hopes up, but you know this could be my year, then the big red words you were unsuccessful. Aw nevermind, I digress.

So who is the lucky man with you dan, or is that a pic of yourself that is great. If the later, I will second it, you are great. I often refer to you as the greatest deer hunter alive.

I got a clean crack at it before I had to follow a one liner from Jackson Marsh.

Pretty sure that pic was from the scouting workshop, as I recognize the gent on the left. The gent on the right was a bit overdressed for the weather.

Who’s wearing better camp the guy on the left or the guy on the right? Kidding, after 5 years of hitting public hard , every hunter I’ve run into have been nice guys.

I wasn't going to do it, but Lou forced me to.

Worst band ever created, but here it is.
