I think this is a great video Joe. Seen a couple guys already a little uptight about the quartering to shot. That's a tough one to discuss. The issue with an inexperienced hunter taking that shot is alot of times they aim to far back. If a hunter doesn't hit that neck pocket it's going to hit shoulder or the diaphragm, liver, guts. Someone who can remain calm and think while under pressure can slip an arrow in for a kill shot at any angle. Knowing your weapons and keeping them tuned to precision accuracy is so important. Knowing the anatomy of a deer is also important. Nice buck and nice kill. I think the most important thing is to note that you are an experienced hunter who understands shot angles. Probably not a shot for a inexperienced hunter or someone with questionable accuracy though.

ENJOYED the video Joe! Very well done, all around. Adapting to the local hunting, staying persistent and making that shot work.

NOTICE: BUCKS beware now Joe has played that shot through his head and clocked out a buck using the quarter too shot!

Congrats on the trip, the hunts and the buck!

I've shot alot of deer with a bow and I wouldnt feel comfortable with that shot. That said ive watched enough videos of Joe to know the arrow goes where he wants it to and have no problem with him taking it.

Good job Joe!

Great hunt Joe and great buck! I've taken that quartering to or frontal shot 3 times each going less than 30 yards. If we'll placed you're going through all the good stuff! Congratulations!

 great job

BTW.. I saw a guy who uses a single pin talking about how he uses nail polish to add a second "pin". Maybe that'd be helpful to you.

Don't let the tell everyone how to do it crowd get you down about the quartering in shot. Most of them probably wait to shoot at deer with their head down.

I've shot two deer that way now. One recently through the humerus ball, still got a pass through. I shoot 64lbs, 145gr single blade single bevel
