Hunting CRP

I have access to CRP in hill country and the CRP is basically made up of tall prairie grass that used to be a 50 acre bean/corn field the CRP is completely surrounded on 3 of its 4 sides by a deep ravine, try to imagine a U shaped ravine where the inside of the U is the highest point and this ridge is all CRP grass. How do deer use this CRP for bedding or traveling? Are you looking for certain wind directions or weather conditions to hunt this? How would you go about setting up on this for a hunt?
