I use a Muddy Treestand Utility Hanger. Strong plastic hooks on a strap that goes around the tree. Only use 3 hooks, one for bow, one for pack, one for water bag. Took the others off the strap. Super light, won't harm tree, rolls up and packs small.

I just got one of them and they seem pretty good. Will use it this weekend. Hard to beat the price as they are $9 on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006J ... UTF8&psc=1

For a while I used a LW e z hang strap. But to save weight I have amsteel with a few hooks DIY. The hooks are attached to a paracord prussic for each hook. Slide along to wherever I need them.
The amsteel has an eye spliced in one end and then another para-prussic with a s biner.

What do you use for the diy hook? I use some paracord to wrap around the tree with a mini carabiner I have the clasp tied open on. Problem I find is it rolls flat against the tree.

I hold my bow but am thinking about the third hand bow holder.

Third hand archery bow rest, attaches straight to your stand. No more worrying about finding the perfect spot to hang your bow.

I had the hooks from an old stretchy motorcycle cargo net. Rubber coated and pretty stiff metal. The hooks from basic black rubber tie downs would do really good too.

Don't you have to move a lot to turn around and get the bow. I just can't picture it if it's on the trunk behind you when you are sitting in a stand. Unless saddle hunting when you are facing the tree already.

For me if I am sitting then I holding my weapon. The only time I hang mine is when I am getting situated and if I stand up for a while. If I standing then it isn't hard to grab.

Plastic hook connected to your tree tether/safety line?
Works pretty well for me when screw-in are not allowed.

I like to climb multi stemmed trees so I often have a place to hang my bow infront of me. If I climb a single stem the bow is in my lap/hand. I have a little hook on the end of my cable bar and wear a shoulder strap to take the weight off my hand.

I use a versa strap for a movable aider and my gear holder. I just add a carabiner and hooks. I’d still rather use a branch tho.
