I've never done it. You would think if it was "made" in the right spot, it would already be used.....but I don't know.

It works to an extent. Litzinger had some success with a few small bucks using his

I tried on my 10 acres dont think it works. I put some logs about bedding height.

I have one spot that is in wait and see mode.
It had a good layout but the cedar tree had a branch too low for a buck with headgear. I removed it and will see later on if the spot was good enough.
Most of the time I have in the woods will be spent on other things BUT when a spot should /could be a bed I try to put a minute or two into improving it.
You don't have to be the best, just do your best.

I won't make them. But I will clean them up when I find them.

Dan talks about the right way to do it in Hill Country Bedding, I might give it a try this off season.

I've seen some people make them with some success. They went all out and planted some shrubs. If you intend to do it, keep in mind to make the bed best for the buck.

I'm thinking about manipulation of existing beds. Like putting something there that blocks the line of sight to allow you to access.
