Montec g5. Is a super tough fixed blade machined from one piece of metal that is simple enough anyone can sharpen

Re: Broadhead choice
I don't really have a dog in the fight. I've tried a ton of em through the years. Don't think any of em performed any better than the others as far as killing deer.
For me it comes down to what looks cool on the end of my arrow this season. I went through a period when I wanted the hardest steel known to man. Now I'm a middle of the road type guy for ease of sharpening. I don't like paying a small fortune for a broadhead cause I sling a bunch of arrows at critters and prone to lose them.
I guess in no particular order that meets my criteria and often finds its way in my quiver are as followed:
Original Woodsmen
Zwickey Eskimo
Tusker Javalin
Muzzy phantoms
G5 montecs
Ace standards
Snuffers

Re: Broadhead choice
I really like QAD Exodus', and Slick Trick Magnums. Both fly really well out of a tuned bow, and provide great penetration.

Re: Broadhead choice
I've tried a few
Nap BloodRunner 2 - performed pretty well on several deer. I stopped using these
Slick Trick Magnum - Shot one Doe -likely one lung. Never recovered. This is my go to for Elk hunting more than likely
Grim Reaper razortip 1 3/4 - These have performed great on several deer. I have had two blades sheer off on entry (two separate occurrences where one blade sheered off) But the deer were recovered quickly. Both were does
Grim Reaper Whitetail special - took a buck and the angle was really steep, not sure if the blade deflected on opening or I missed my mark. Still recovered the deer, but the hit was a bit of a freak show. never entered the chest cavity, just put a huge gash down the ribs and then cut an artery near the elbow

Just about all of em do the trick. If they didn't, they wouldn't be on the shelf.

Re: Broadhead choice
I’m partial to my g5 t3 expandable which I see are now called deadmeats and they raised the price 20 bucks. Good thing I had a backstock of them. Also shoot muzzy fixed blades. Trocar and 3 blades. Those cheap muzzy 3 blades shoot true.

In recent years I’ve been using muzzy and slick trick. They fly pretty close to field tip

Re: Broadhead choice
The last two animals I've shot with 2"-cut rage have been absolutely destroyed - Mature buck lasted <100 yards and adult boar bear lasted <50 yards.
I know they are highly debatable, but they are lethal IMO. My tune may change one day but for now, I 'm a fan.
I have moved to the 'no collar'...

Re: Broadhead choice
I shoot slick trick standards. I've had good results on the deer I've shot with them. Only complaint I have is how loud they are. Next year I may consider going to a different head which is not vented.
