Re: For guys who hunt the south.
I’m having trouble finding the podcast. I have gone to southernoutdoorsman.com, but it only shows up to episode 60. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Easiest way is to download one of the apps for listening to podcasts. That way you can get all your favorites in one location. I use Stitcher, but there are many others. Once installed, just search for The Southern Outdoorsman and that was episode 116.

Re: For guys who hunt the south.
I used Podcast Addict, found the Podcast and then the episode. Listening to it now.
I love reading about y’alls hunting down there. Really fun to hear about how it gets done.
Also some applicability up here in WI because we have some large pine plantation areas that I know hold deer. There’s a lot of Georgia Pacific pine plantations here. A lot at various ages and heights, etc. In fact, I missed a buck last year that came out of one when a slug dented from the firing pin but didn’t fire. He survived archery and other gun seasons... not sure if he made it past late bow season, but he was in pines and I wasn’t able to pin him down. Area got big pressure too.
Godspeed to Mr. Solomon.
PS - 30 seconds in... and he was a true Beast. Love it. Probably going to listen to this one a few times.

That was a great podcast! You could tell Mr Solomon was a down to earth guy and enjoyed watching others succeed. Continued prayers for the family.

Re: For guys who hunt the south.
Just moved to Georgia this summer. Listened to the podcast to learn, then read the article in GON that he passed. Deeply saddened. I thought when I heard it ‘I gotta reach out to that guy.’ Deer knowledge or no, he was just an original, who learned from the woods and I wanted to say hi. My thought was that he knew what he believed and died doing what he loved as well. Sad for his family and friends.

Sorry to hear of his passing.
Gave it a listen last night, from what I could make out the guy sounded legit. Wish someone would translate it in English. Sounded like farmer Fran off the waterboy.

Agreed. And I’m a cheesehead.
My favorite was his pronunciation of acorns.
