Here in Northwest Arkansas the white oaks have quite a few acorns. They aren't loaded like I've seen in the past but it looks like a pretty good crop.

Gobs of red oak acorns here in northern MI, saw a good number of hickory nuts in OH, need to get over to my white oak spot to see how they are doing.

Thought I'd resurrect this one again...

Looking like it's going to be good crop again this year. (East Central Wi)
At least on the red's
Haven't been able to check on any whites yet. Mostly burr oak for whites around here. Very few highland white oaks around and they never seem to produce very well.

Good time to restart this thread. I’m gonna start checking for acorns while I pull my cameras. I seen some chinquapin oaks loaded and a few whites. Good because last year there was almost zero white oaks producing in my areas. Makes planning for early season easier

Found these on the ground under a big red oak yesterday. Think they just fell out due to the huge storm that blew through the night before

I haven’t seen a lot, but this is all pretty promising for a crop this year, which would be a big plus over recent years. I saw reds last year, but they were pretty much untouched.

Went on a limited hike yesterday with the binoculars and checked on some swamp whites and regular whites but can't say I saw any. Saw a few chinquapins that had some though. Noticed the deer were hammering the American Bellflower and Jewelweed. They completely stripped a Tree of Heaven that blew over in a recent storm as well. Southwest Ohio.

From the reports I have gotten the last week. My area looks to have a above record acorn crop again this year.

We had a above record last year, but then had 2 hurricanes and the high water washed nearly all the acorns out the creeks and down into the lake. Once season started wasnt much acorns leavt.

What was leavt was red oaks and the hogs destroyed them quickly.

Praying for no storms this year.

Came across two big red oaks in a creek bottom already dropping a few or the squirrels are knocking them down. Deer were already munching on them. Set a camera on the bigger tree, will check late August. Central NC.

Was out last week and saw some white's here in SW WI that were looking pretty good. Seemed last year they were pretty sparse, so hoping this year will make up for it.
