I am new to milkweed, hoping someone from the upstate could give me a hint as where to find some on public land to harvest. I've been scouting a lot lately and haven't run into a single plant. Probably just an inexperienced eye.
Also I harvested a good amount of bull thistle lately, seems to have the same properties as milk weed, can anyone verify this?

I'm in Western NY, but I usually find it along roadsides where's there's also drainage there. I haven't been out looking yet but pretty soon. Let me know if you can't find any or if it's hard to find down there, I'll send ya some! It's everywhere here.

Fellow South Carolinian here. I’ve had no luck finding milkweed in my area either (mid-Carolina). But to emphasize the post above, there are plenty of beasts here willing to be generous and send you a batch. I’ve benefited from several. Another reason to love the Beast!
