Started thinking about tree stand mods for next season and immediately knew you guys would have some great ideas. Let’s hear ‘em!

I’m climbing with a LW Assault + (4) LW Sticks.

The Molle is looking like a necessary addition this year. Reflecting back specifically on entering and exiting this past year, a lot of frustration was birthed from readjusting my stand on my back and fighting with it. Just silly and unnecessary.

Which one do you have? XOP has a system that looks pretty neat.

I have a Lone Wolf Alpha, Hand Climber and Sit & Climb. I use the same accessories on all of them except of course no Stick Talons on the climbers.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. What Molle system are you using?

Molle system is great for carrying but a bit bulky. Also Alice style straps (Vietnam era) straps and kidney belt can work well too. Bought both off EBay and have on my my Vanish and Alphas as well as my old climber.

I think Dewey nailed it for a LW (or XOP for that matter) hang on. I think someone on here uses a Kuiu suspension instead of the Molle, which is pretty slick but more pricey.

I mostly hunt out of a climber (not a problem so far in my areas). For my LW hand climber, the only thing I've done is add a third hand bow holder. On my Summit Goliath, I've added the third hand bow holder, replaced the stock seat with a Hazmore, and wrapped the rails with camo cling tape. I've been using Camoform for the cling tape, but considering going to something like the vet tape as it's much cheaper. I just don't know how long it'll hold up.

I use the Molle kidney belt with Claw shoulder straps. I tried the Molle shoulder straps but they were too bulky and unnecesary. With the kidney belt the load is balanced perfectly putting the weight to your hips with very little weight on the shoulders. All the shoulder straps do is balance the load. Honestly you could get by with the stock shoulder straps. Just add the kidney belt for about $12.

Got the Molle II system and have found it a lifesaver. I don't find it too bulky. Got it at an army navy store near me.

The TTS seems to be pretty cool. Do you like it?

i think back pack straps are a must i scavenged mine from a old peak one frame pack they are a nice fleece with a slick old school bark pattern. you can also use gun slings for straps that works nice you can even easily install sling swivel studs on your platform too make it a clean and easy too remove. another thing i always have is extra bungees that helps a lot when you shoot something i simply wrap my jacket around my gun or bow and bungee it too my stand. then i can simply put my rope around the deer tie on my stick and start dragging. the last thing i want too do after dragging a deer out is turn around and walk back too get my gear. i rather take my time and get everything out in one shot.
