City Deer
Check out these couple slobs living in the city I work in. It's a first ring suburb on the Minneapolis boarder. I'd love to be able to go after the bucks around here. Pardon the blurry pics - our city camera's don't zoom in the dark very well.
One from a couple years ago. I had to brighten it up a bit. You can see the car license plate right behind it:

Re: City Deer
Nice pics AC. You don't see a lot of bucks like that in the metro area. By the way AC, if you live way up in Becker, how do you commute to Minneapolis? I bet you drive down and stay the week huh?

Cool pics, AC. I'd imagine there are EMS units with spotlights on too that aren't really looking for addresses on a call- just making sure they still work.

Re: City Deer
I would say that some of the biggest bucks live and or get killed near these metro areas! Some legally, many I am afraid not? Lots of greedy hunters seeing these Beasts everyday!

Re: City Deer
Urban bucks are hard to kill, especially when they get OLD. The buck on the left my buddy and I tried to kill for 2 years before on the second to last day of season he got him. The buck basically lived in a small woodlot that was essentially a triple backyard to three different people. We could drive by and see him 90% of the time bedded in the middle on a hill. Fortunately for my buddy this area is gun huntable due to some technicalities and he put the hurting on "Kong" during a 40+ mph front that came through on Jan 9th. For whatever reason he was bedded down in a valley and was coming back home with 15 minutes of light left, for as old as he was I'll never understand why he made that mistake. My buck lived in the middle of a 250 acre picked bean field, I got really lucky that next morning Jan 10th and popped him. That was a great 12 hour stretch!

It's a 50 mile commute. I drive 100 miles per day so I can live in the country.

Some of the guys do but most were born and raised in the cities and don't really care. They think a deer is a deer.
