Yeah but how the heck did the live buck not get killed/exhausted to death? Weird situation.

Bet he broke the other bucks neck while fighting killing him then kept twisting till he ripped the head off. Once the spine is broke it’s pretty easy. Seen so much stuff like this over the years. It’s amazing how tough these critters are.

my vote goes for broken neck then coyotes ate the deer that was not fighting back. or human intervention and thats as far as they got before the deer got away.
