Need help with access
How do you get above the wind tunnel in the mountains when all the excess is in the bottom. Do you go up the leeward side or up the windward side and drop into the stand that way. Needing help to try to figure this out.

If I was hunting below that 1/3 with thermals dropping, I would prefer to come in from low. If I was hunting above it with thermals rising, I would want to come in from top. All other things being equal, I would come from top in mornings. Afternoons probably less critical as thermals won't really start dropping your scent until late in the hunt. If you have identified bedding or knowledge of deer movement, that would play a role in the analysis too. That's my very non-expert opinion.

The bucks will be bedding on the leeward side. So, if you climb the leeward side they'll watch you the whole way up. Unless you know where they're bedding and can get out of view/sound as you climb, I would climb the windward side and come down the leeward side.
Just my opinion. I'm not an expert. But, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express one time.
